What is Akron GO?

This summer we have created a way for you, your family, and friends to have fun, discover different parts of Akron, and explore the ways that Grace partners with ministries all over our city.

June Challenges

How it works:

Complete these 2 simple steps.

1. Visit each stop that is part of the Kenmore or Downtown challenge. 

2. Upload a photo for a chance to win this months prize.

Completing both challenges doubles your chance to win!

Kenmore Challenge

One of the things to love about Kenmore is the sense of community you feel when you are there. First Glance, a ministry partner of Grace, works to build up the community  through meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of families and students.

Stop 1

Grab a piece of pizza at Pierre’s Pizza and snap a photo in front of First Glance.

Stop 2

Take a photo dropping off a candy bar to the First Glance Staff. 

If the door isn’t unlocked, just drop it in the mailbox at their front door!!

Bonus Challenge

Look for an Akron Go! QR code on First Glance’s door! Watch the 60 second reel and answer the bonus question on the form for another chance to win this month’s prize!!

Downtown Challenge

Amidst the concrete jungle of Downtown, there is plenty to get excited about. One highlight is Middlebury Chapel, current home of Hope Landing and Hope Farms. Their heartbeat is to relationally invest into the unhoused of Akron while also meeting their physical needs! Find the QR in their back window to learn more!

Stop 1

Have a picnic and grab a picture near the murals and waterfalls of Lock 4.

Enjoy an ice cream or chocolates to kick off summer at Chill N Indulge.

Stop 3

Take a photo in front of Middlebury Chapel! This is the home of Hope Landing and Hope Farms, two ministries working with the homeless community in Akron!!

Bonus Challenge

Watch the 60 second reel via the QR code on the back door of Middlebury Chapel you just found to answer the bonus question on the submission form.
