Runer Life Group

How would you describe your group?
We are laid back but also know how to have fun! Being a group that consists of young families, we know and understand the challenges of parenthood and just how crazy life can get. We want to be flexible and adaptable to what God is calling us to do and we aim to be a safe place where people can come as they are.

When was a time that serving others made an impact on your group?
We have served a local high-school football team on several occasions. Many of the young men come from broken or single parent homes and seeing their appreciation when we have served them dinner and the conversations we’ve had in between has really illustrated God’s goodness and His mercy. It has bolstered the motivation to take a more active role in the lives of those who are lost and have a “light and witness” attitude when interacting with people.

How is your group actively reaching those that don’t know Jesus?
We aim to be very intentional in our relationships with non-believers. This can look like setting aside dedicated time to meet one on one for coffee or having a shared meal with a family on a regular basis. Knowing that “our time” really is not our time helps us consider more critically where and who we can invest our relational resources. We want to be creative with our space and how we can pivot to include non-believers on nights when the opportunity arises, whether it is a game night or sharing a meal with the rest of the group
