Deployed veterans often suffer in silence with no hope of recovery. Their identities often get tied up in what they used to do or what they have done. Because of this, relationships can suffer both with their spouse and with friends. It can be difficult to find their way out of the darkness they have found themselves in. Jesus does not want our identity to be in the things we have done or the lives we have lived. He wants our lives to be identified through Him and how God sees us. Making the change in mindset can be difficult but the reboot group should help this transition of identity. Reboot is not a group to share war stories and compare deployment experiences. Reboot is a group with people who have had similar struggles and are looking for a way to get through them, connect to the Church, and embrace the identity Jesus gives you. When military members come home from deployment, they have families that have been left with a completely different struggle waiting for them. The relationship between the service member and spouse needs to be restored as well. Through this 12-week course, we will be going over a different discussion-based video and topic to help service members and their spouses connect with each other and with Jesus.
