Ministries and Organizations

First Glance wants to connect student and their communities to Christ and the church. They offer programs to students (grades 6-12) and young adults (ages 18-29) in the Kenmore Community. Their programs include a rec night, young adults program, skate night, mentoring, a parenting group,and afterschool programming.
Ways to Serve: Be a mentor to a teen or young adult, hang out with teens during Rec Night, spend time with elementary students after school, or donate snacks or prepared meals

RAHAB Ministries provides Christ-centered transformational services to those directly affected by sex trafficking in Northeast Ohio. Their ministries include prison ministry, outreach programs, drop in house, and minor and adult mentoring and care.
Ways to Serve: Volunteers needed to help with maintenance and cleaning, preparing meals, prayer team, being on the outreach teams, being on the jail ministry team, and serving at the drop in houses

South Street Ministries partners with their neighbors in wholistic community development to pursue justice, peace, and love through a variety of programs like bike shop, summer camp, after school tutoring, open gym, re-entry help, and Restoration House (transitional housing for women).
Ways to Serve: After school tutoring, being a friend at Re-Entry meetings, providing meals for re-entry, assisting at Restoration House, bike shop, open gym, and Summer Camp.

Urban Vision desires to raise up community leaders who have a heart for God so that North Hill will continue to be transformed into a vibrant community. They do this by providing after school tutoring (SOS), Kids Club (pre-k to 5th grade), Explorers (6th-12th grade), On Your Mark preschool, summer camp and summer tutoring
Ways to Serve: Tutoring, After School program support, Kids Club helper, Supply donations, teach a skill to the students, or volunteer at the Back to School and Christmas Store.
Child Sponsorship
We partner with Food for the Hungry in Guatemala and Sawini’s Garden in Haiti to ensure that students in our partner communities have access to food and the resources they need. This is so much more than just giving money. You have the chance to change lives, provide access for them to hear about Jesus and you can even write to your sponsored student.
Ways to Serve:Â Choose a student in Guatemala to support or a support a classroom in Haiti for $35/month.
Kylie’s Bags of Love
Kylie’s Bags of Love came out of Kylie’s own battle with cancer and her desire to bring some hope and happiness to kids at Akron Children’s Hospital. To date, Kylie’s Bags of Love have delivered over 3,000 bags to kids at the hospital.
Ways to Serve: Purchase items to go in the bags or help sew the bags.

To create a place where people cannot help but encounter God while bringing restoration to God’s creation through regenerative farming, employment of people with disabilities, and community engagement.Â

We have come alongside Copley Middle School to work with students as tutors during the school day but also to be able to mentor students one-on-one and begin to build relationships with them.
We have partnered with Herberich and Fort Island Elementary schools to provide mentoring.
Ways to Serve:Â Tutor/Mentor a student at the Middle School during 1-2 periods a week. Or mentor an elementary student during lunch/recess once a week.Â
