GRACE CHURCH
FOSTER CARE
We care about kids and families! We know that kids and teenagers coming through the foster care system have experienced trauma of some kind. Becoming a foster/kinship parent means stepping into the effects of trauma and providing a loving, safe place for them to heal and grow. Through foster care we get to be the hands and feet of Jesus every day as each family cares for the unique needs of their foster child. Â
As a church we believe it is important to support foster and kinship families in the work they are doing. Below are the ways that we strive to do this so that families can continue to do the work of fostering in their homes.Â
Â
Quarterly Gatherings
We partner with the Medina East Campus to host 4 gatherings a year. These gatherings are open to foster, adoptive, and kinship families and provide an outlet for community, prayer, and training for families. Two gatherings are at the Medina East Campus and two gatherings are at Bath Campus. Gatherings are open to anyone (families do not need to attend Grace).

FOSTER FAMILY CARE TEAMS
We know that fostering is hard and requires emotional, mental, and physical effort. We want to come alongside foster families to provide tangible help (i.e. meals, childcare, housework, transportation). We match one care team with one foster family to provide on-going support.
THE FATHER’S HEART BIBLE STUDY
A group that studies God’s word together with other foster/adoptive families, providing support and encouragement.
MEETS ON SUNDAYS DURING THE 11AM SERVICE AT OUR MONTROSE BUILDING

Becoming a Foster Parent
Maybe you have been feeling the pull to pursue fostering, but didn’t know where to start. We would love to come alongside you and help you get connected.

Mentorship
We believe that one of the ways to serve kids and families before a crisis hits is to provide loving, caring connections. This can be done through a multitude of ways, but one of the most effective things we can do is to give one to two hours a week mentoring a child/teen.
