Pray that we will have a heart to serve others in our city and schools

Think about all of the different needs that you have seen around your community. Wherever you live, there are people that are in need physically and spiritually. God has called us as followers of Jesus, to show love and generosity to the people around us. He tells us that we will be known because of the way that we love. Pray today that God would help you to see the needs of your community and love the people of your community in a way that shows them who Jesus is.

1 Peter 2:9-10

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,^[a] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.”[b]
