“We live to make Jesus make sense, We have no spare parts.” These are two of our values at Grace. Every way we serve through the church is for the purpose of helping people understand who Jesus really is. We also believe that everybody has something valuable to offer. There is a place to serve for everyone, and we would love for you to join us in our mission to make Jesus make sense.

Where can i serve?

Nursery

If you love babies as much as we do this is a great place to serve. Welcome kids newborn-age 3 and provide a safe and loving environment so their parents can be fully present in a service or event. 

Kids

Welcome and play with kids ages 4-5th grade and provide a safe and fun environment that points kids to a God that loves them no matter what. Many opportunities to help like weekend services, events, and camps. 

Worship

Instrumentalists and vocalists with a passion for Jesus and a heart for our community. We work hard to create inviting, Jesus-centered environments in our services through the art of music.

Photo/Video

If you’ve got an eye for photography, a knack for video, or a passion for creativity, there’s a place for you! Whether it’s capturing moments during services, creating content for social media, or helping tell powerful stories through visuals, your skills can help connect people to Jesus. You don’t have to be a pro—just bring your creativity and a heart to serve!

Hospitality

Creating a welcoming environment as we greet, serve, and connect with people. We help set the tone creating a Christ-centered community from the moment people walk through the doors on the weekends and throughout the week.

Production

Lighting, audio, and video production for services, not only on the weekends, but also during the week. We help create a unique worship experience for guests, both in the room and those joining us online. No previous production experience is required.

Safety

We care deeply about making our spaces safe and comfortable both physically and emotionally. Safety team is about creating distraction free environments. Both on weekends and through events.  

Facilities

If you’re someone who is good with your hands or have experience building things we are always working on projects to make our spaces comfortable for people. Some projects are for a special event and others are ongoing. 

Sports

Sports is a great place to serve whether you are a huge sports fan or just someone that has a heart to serve people. From coaching, teaching, leading, refereeing, hospitality, operations, and logistics. Programs include youth basketball, cheerleading, sports camps, men’s basketball, pickleball, women’s fitness, volleyball, and disc golf. Meet people in their life journey while using sports to share the gospel. 

VIP

Providing a welcoming environment for people of all abilities to know and understand Christ’s love. We strive to care for our VIP families as a whole as we love, serve, and build relationships with students of all ages.

Middle School

Having loving and caring adults who take the time to invest in students this age is a vital part of Grace Church discipling the next generation. There are serving opportunities for adults during weekend services as well as for Overtime on Wednesdays which is the large group middle school youth group experience. 

High School

Investing into these students is of extreme importance as they are preparing for adulthood and making big life decisions at such a young age. Most of the serving opportunities for adults with high school students will be on Wednesday nights. 

Young Adults

Serving with Collective Young Adult Ministry is all about creating a space where people feel seen, welcome, and cared for—whether you’re behind a camera, running food, or greeting at the door. There’s a spot for everyone to use their gifts, from tech and safety teams to hospitality and beyond, all working together to make each night feel like home for young adults.

Meals

Making meals is a simple yet powerful way to serve others. Whether you’re preparing a dish at home or helping organize meals for someone in need, it’s a chance to show Christ’s love through food. You might be cooking for a family going through a tough time, bringing a warm meal to a group, or helping prepare for an event. No gourmet skills required—just a willing heart and a little time in the kitchen!

Local Engagement

We partner with ministries throughout the Greater Akron as we move mission of Jesus forward in our city. There are a variety of ways to uniquely engage with the homeless, refugees, immigrants, at-risk youth, and more. From annual events to weekly spaces, we want to help you engage our city. 

Needs Response

We have teams that get to uniquely and tangibly serve the physical needs of our community. Building and repair projects at our church buildings, work days with one of our city ministry partners, and meal trains for families in need are just a few examples. Join us in practically serving our church family and city!

Global Missions

We partner strategically in hard places around the world to bring the hope of the story of Jesus. Join us in supporting and caring for missionaries, jumping onto a short-term missions team or sponsoring a student.
