John started attending grace church just like everyone else, trying to find out where he belonged in the world. Church wasn’t something he was particularly interested but like most men, he just followed his wife to church. Since the first time John attended, he knew this place was different from other churches and it quickly became his home church. After finding a passion for Jesus, John went from volunteer to intern to resident and now he is the pastor of middle school ministries. While most people are scared of middle schoolers, John being a veteran, is no stranger to chaos. Middle schoolers are the pure unbridled energy of the church and if they start to see Jesus for who he is, nothing can stop them from completing His mission. Helping middle school student find a purpose for their lives in Jesus during the middle of the most difficult times in their lives is John’s greatest joy.

John has an undergraduate degree from Grace College and a masters degree from Liberty. His wife Sunni is the only thing that keeps his life from being a smoking crater in the ground. Everything in his life is a direct result of God’s sovereignty and Sunni’s hard work. He has four kids, Isla, Iain, Owen, and Abel. They are all the best parts of his family in very different shapes and sizes. John loves Star Wars, video games, comic books, and Jiu Jitsu (and just like candy corn, he isn’t very good). If you see John around its best to just leave him alone. He will tire himself out and need a nap.
